SUNSET CONFERENCE
Los Alamitos 74, Newport Harbor 64: The Griffins (16-4) were led by Liam Gray, who scored 17 points. Dilayehu Wempe had 15 points, Trent Minter 11 points and Samori Guyness 10 points. Newport Harbor (18-3) was led by Jack Berry who had 21 points, Cole Leinart who had 20 points, Dash Bastedo who had 10 points and 18 rebounds and Riggs Guy who had nine points and 10 rebounds.
SOUTH COAST LEAGUE
San Clemente 61, San Juan Hills 54: The Tritons were led by Porter Hansen who had 18 points and Will Whidden, who had 18 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks.
TRINITY LEAGUE
JSerra 59, Orange Lutheran 42: JSerra (16-3, 1-2) was led by Aidan Fowler, who had 12 points and Drew Bowman who had 11 points.
PACIFIC COAST LEAGUE
Irvine 56, University 52: Irvine trailed most of the game but pulled ahead at the end for the win Wednesday at Irvine. Irvine (10-10, 1-1) was led by Jaesang An with 17 points and three 3-pointers. Cooper Stearns had 14 points and Taewon Kim 12 points.
University (6-13, 0-2) was led by Shervin Moarrefian, who had 15 points. Christian DeBarge added 13 points and seven rebounds and Isaac Evans had seven points, eight rebounds and six assists.
Beckman 74, Laguna Hills 51: The Patriots were led by Qusai Azem, who had 19 points. Tai Nguyen scored 13 points and Caydon Do and Moe Hernandez 10 points each to lead Beckman (11-9, 2-0).
“That was an ugly game for us from start to finish tonight,” said Beckman Coach Lucas Armstrong. “But give Laguna Hills credit because they fought hard and never gave up. They are well coached and play hard for Patrick (Coach Pollack). We are going to have to be much more disciplined Friday night if we want to have a chance to win. I’m looking forward to the challenge that Sage Hill brings.”

Irvine 42, University 25: Lauren Lai led Irvine (11-7) with 16 points. Kyara Vargas and Ella Mitchell each had nine points for the Vaqueros. Asha Highsmith led University (8-11) with six points. Julia Holmes had four points, six rebounds and six blocks.
Sage Hill 70, Portola 44: Sage Hill (14-2) was led by Emily Eadie, who scored 21 points and Amalia Holguin, who had 13 points. Kira Watanabe had 19 points for Portola.
