Newport Harbor’s boys basketball team wrapped up the Century Elks Tournament defeating Yorba Linda 59-41 in a consolation round game on Monday at Century.
The Sailors were led by Robbie Spooner who scored 23 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Nick Silva had 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Connor Platt scored 11 points and Cory Knutson 10 to lead Yorba Linda.
Cypress 70, Beckman 63: The Centurions wrapped up fifth place at the Torrey Pines Tournament (Governor’s Divison) Monday night.
Cypress (10-5) was led by Eddie Spencer with 24 points and four-three pointers. Elijah Vaielua had 11 points, eight rebounds and three blocks. Christian Chai added nine points, five assists and three steals.
Beckman and Cypress play again Friday night in a nonlegue game at 7 at Cypress.
