High school football returned in a big way over the weekend as fans came out in big numbers throughout the county for the start of the fall season.
Fans were in the stands having fun and players were competing hard trying to win in games on Thursday and Friday night.
A near capacity crowd turned out at Portola Friday for a non-league opener between Portola and Woodbridge. Portola won 35-9.
At halftime, the Portola band performed and during the game, the Woodbridge band was in the stands supporting the Warriors.
