Mission Viejo’s boys basketball team used a balanced scoring attack to defeat Murrieta Valley 83-66 in the second round of the Tustin Holiday Classic Friday at Tustin.

The Diablos (14-2) move into the semifinals Saturday at 6 p.m. vs. Tesoro.
Rey Cabaling scored 18 points, Jake Conerty had 16 points, Nate Hewitt 13 points and Presley Eldridge 11 points to lead the Diablos.
Cabaling got the Diablos off to a solid start with nine points in the first quarter.
“The difference was our ball movement,” Cabaling said. “Once we moved the ball, they couldn’t stop us. We want to win this championship. We want to win again tomorrow, get a day off and win on Monday.”
Griff Higgins added nine points for Mission Viejo (14-2).
