Pharoah Rush scored three touchdowns to lead Marina to a victory.
It was quite a night for Marina running back Pharoah Rush, who rushed for 196 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Vikings past Laguna Hills 34-25.
“We’re pushing for the playoffs,” Rush said after Thursday’s game at Westminster.
The victory improved Marina’s record to 2-1 while Laguna Hills fell to 1-1. Marina and Laguna Hills are both back in action on Friday, Sept. 7. Marina hosts Katella at Westminster and Laguna Hills hosts Saddleback Valley Christian.
Thursday’s game ended with some controversy when the Vikings scored with under a minute remaining upsetting the Laguna Hills coaches.
