The All-American Bowl Road to the Dome Tour will visit Mater Dei High School on Thursday, Oct. 24 to recognize Mater Dei quarterback Bryce Young and offensive lineman Myles Murao as 2020 All-Americans.
The two players are among 10 California athletes selected to play in the annual East vs. West football game on Saturday, Jan. 4 in the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
The two will be honored by before classmates, teammates, family and friends at Mater Dei, according to Gus Ramos of the All-American Bowl.
The players will be presented their All-American Bowl jerseys. The two seniors are key players on Mater Dei’s undefeated team which is ranked No. 1 in this week’s CIF Division 1-2 poll. Mater Dei (7-0, 2-0) plays Santa Margarita on Friday night in a Trinity League game at Trabuco Hills.
Young verbally committed to the University of Alabama while Murao committed to University of Washington.
The football game will be nationally televised live on NBC and feature the nation’s top 100 high school football players.
The All-American Bowl has produced 410 draft picks, 144 Pro Bowl finalists and 16 Heisman Trophy finalists, according to a release from the bowl.
