Laguna Hills High School boys 4×100 relay team is having quite a season.
On Saturday the team took first in its heat and fifth overall with a time of 43.13, a PR, at the Orange County Championships, according to Connie Der Torossian, mother of the Hawks Matt Der Torrossian.
The relay team is made up Mark Sedgwick, Matthew Der Torossian, Andre Whiteside and Preston Hong and they have PR’d in the last invitationals and track meets they have competed in.
The runners have taken home medals at the Trabuco Invitational (43.38), Laguna Beach Invitational (43.81) and Arcadia Invitational (43.38).
In addition the squad took first place in a San Clemente dual meet this past Thursday with a time of 43.26.
Der Torossion also placed third in his heat and fifth overall in the 200 at the OC Championships with a time of 22.44.
The team is aiming to win the Sea View League title and then qualify for the CIF track and field finals.
