Irvine High School volleyball star Cozie Zimmerman has signed a national letter of intent to play beach volleyball for Concordia University Irvine, her mother Holiday said.
Zimmerman began playing indoor volleyball seven years ago with club teams and helped the Vaqueros indoor girls volleyball team earn the Pacific Coast League title.
The Irvine senior began playing beach volleyball three years ago. Zimmerman and teammates Taylor Tran, Maddie Kuan and Rakshana Sasikumer were part of the first Irvine High School beach volleyball team. Holiday Zimmerman was coach of the team.
“Cozie’s love for beach volleyball has grown considerably these past few years and she has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her academic and beach volleyball career at Concordia University in Irvine,” her mother said.
