FULLERTON 8, LOS ALTOS 5: The Tribe (6-1) was led by Matthew Carbajal, who got the win, pitching five innings in the non-league game Tuesday. He allowed four hits, no earned runs and struck out four. Nate Norman was 1 for 3 with a home run and three RBI. Malachi Meni was 2 for 4 with a double and two RBI and Conor Sunderland was 2 for 4 with a run scored.
ESTANCIA 6, ST. MARGARET’S 5: The Eagles (8-1, 1-0) opened Orange Coast League play with a victory on Tuesday.
Winning pitcher was Miles Moyer (4-0). In six innings, he allowed three earned runs and four hits and struck out five.
James De La O got his first save, allowing two hits and striking out one.
Cole Lefebvre was 1 for 2 with two RBI, John Uchytil was 2 for 4 with a run scored, RBI and a double and Andrew Mits was 2 for 4 with two runs scored and a double.
Estancia plays at St. Margaret’s Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
COSTA MESA 5, SANTA ANA 0: The Mustangs opened Orange Coast League play Tuesday with a victory. Joyce was the winning pitcher. He pitched a complete game, allowing twoi hits and striking out nine. Wylan Rottschafer was 1 for 3 with two RBI and Matt Anderson 1 for 3 with an RBI.
Santa Ana (2-4, 0-1) and Costa Mesa play Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at Costa Mesa. The game was originally scheduled for Friday, but moved up because of the expected rain on Friday.
