Four Orange County Pony Bronco Bronco 11-and-under baseball teams, including two from Irvine, will compete in the super regional tournament beginning Thursday, July 6 at Kit Carson Park in Escondido.
The 16-team tournament runs through Tuesday, July 11.
Besides the Irvine Red and Irvine Blue teams from Irvine Pony, Los Alamitos and Placentia will compete in the event.
On Thursday, Los Alamitos will face La Jolla at 5 p.m. on field one and Irvine Red will meet Ramona at 7:30 p.m. on field two.
Placentia opens Friday at 7:30 p.m. on field 4 against the host Escondido team. The Irvine Blue team faces Corona Friday at 5 p.m. on field three.
The tournament champion and the runner-up move on to the zone championships the following weekend.
