Santa Margarita 4, Carlsbad 3: The top-seeded Eagles rallied in the late innings for the win. Sammy Cova pitched 6 2/3 innings allowing two runs. Logan DeGroot was 2 for 4 with two RBI and two runs scored, Blake Wilson was 2 for 4 with an RBI and Bryce Humphrey 2 for 3 to lead the Eagles (27-7). Drew Rutter had the walk-off single to win it for the Eagles. Carlsbad outhit Santa Margarita 11-7.
Santa Margarita will host No. 5 Rancho Bernardo on Thursday. The game has been moved up to 2 p.m.
