Santa Margarita 2, Rancho Bernardo 0: The top-seeded Eagles captured a semifinal win on Thursday afternoon to advance into Saturday’s Division 1 final vs. No. 2 La Costa Canyon at 3 p.m. at Santa Margarita.
Collin Clarke pitched six innings allowing no earned runs to get the win. Brennan Bauer pitched one inning to notch the save. Zach Fjelstad was 1 for 3 with a home run and two RBI.
Division IV
Canyon 5, Fallbrook 0: The Comanches, who won the CIF Division 4 title, advance into the finals Friday at 4 p.m. vs. Crean Lutheran at Canyon. The game was moved to Friday because of graduation ceremonies Saturday at Crean Lutheran.
Crean Lutheran 8, Sage Creek 1: The No. 2 seeded Saints earned a rematch with Canyon in the finals. Mark Fedro and Jack Sand belted back to back home runs in the third inning and Wyatt Nichol was solid on the mound pitching into the seventh inning.
