Estancia High School players, who were part of the Eagles league championship team, helped the Orange Coast League defeat the Orange League 13-3 Friday night in the Ryan Lemmon Senior Showcase.
Emmett Shephard, started at catcher and went 1 for 2 with a run scored and beat out an infield single in the top of the fourth to start the three-run inning, according to Estancia Coach Nate Goellrich.
James De La O started in right field and went 1 for 2 with a run scored and “made a couple of good plays out in right field,” Goellrich added.
Gabe Avila started in left field and went 1 for 2 with two RBI. Avila doubled in the sixth inning to drive in two runs.
