Santa Ana High’s football team has some intriguing match-ups during its non-league schedule which should help prepare the Saints for the Orange Coast League schedule.
Santa Ana, coached by Charlie TeGantvoort, is the defending league champion. The Saints were 10-3 overall and finished with a 5-0 league mark ahead of second place Orange.
Santa Ana opens the season on Friday, Aug. 23 at Buena Park, then has challenging games against Cypress, Garden Grove, Aliso Niguel and Woodbridge.
The Saints open the league season on Thursday, Oct. 3, against Costa Mesa at home.
