CIF PLAYOFFS; Servite, Crean Lutheran, JSerra, Woodbridge, Northwood, Brea, Costa Mesa and Beckman advance

SERVITE 59, YORBA LINDA 43: The Friars (15-13) won their 1A playoff opener. Andrew Cook had 29 points, Davyn Roberts 14 points and Tyler Small 11 points to lead Servite. Jason Casacchia scored nine points to lead Yorba Linda (7-12)

CREAN LUTHERAN 79, TROY 61: The top-seeded Saints (14-2) won the first game in the CIF 2A playoffs at home. Koat Keat had 35 points, 17 rebounds and four assists, Michael Birket had 18 points and Parker Tuttler had six points and four assists to lead the Saints.

JSERRA 70, MAYFAIR 36: The Lions (13-12) were led by Max Bowman with 17 points and Isaac Peralta and Robert Diaz, who had 16 points each. Peralta also had 13 rebounds and 10 assists.

WOODBRIDGE 73, JURUPA VALLEY 30: Coach Steve Scoggin’s team, which captured the Pacific Coast League title, won its 3A playoff game at home. Nygle Williams scored 12 points and Marly Jaisel and Marcus Hooshmand 12 points each to lead the Warriors, who will play at St. Paul Friday.

NORTHWOOD 63, OCEAN VIEW 48: The TImberwolves captured their CIF 3A playoff opener. Amit Flint scored 25 pints and Emon Farsoni scored 19 points, Flint has reached 1,000 points in his Northwood career, according to Coach Zach Johnson.

BECKMAN 57, LA CANADA 40: The Patriots (11-5) were led by Dowon Kim with 20 points, Ethan Bozzo with 15 points and Jake Morrison with 11 points.

BREA OLINDA 51, TUSTIN 33: The Wildcats won their first round game. Tristan Montera led Brea Olinda with 21 points.

COSTA MESA 67, ST. MONICA ACADEMY 61: The Mustangs (12-8) were led in the playoff opener by Aidan Spallone, who had 28 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals.

ST. ANTHONY 67, PACIFICA CHRISTIAN: 56: The Tritons lost their CIF Division 1 playoff opener on the road Wednesday.

ML KING 70, SAN JUAN HILLS 63 (OT): Ryan Little scored 17 points, John McFadden had 15 points and Phillip De Gree 14 points to lead San Juan Hills in the CIF playoff opener. San Juan Hills, which had won eight straight games, finished 10-3.
