Sunny Hills football team is CIF Division 8 champion after holding on for a dramatic 24-21 victory over Santa Barbara Saturday night at San Marcos High in Santa Barbara.
Vince Silva caught a 42-yard TD pass from Luke Duxbury with 1:38 left and Wilson Cal intercepted a pass in the end zone a minute later to preserve the victory for Sunny Hills (12-2).
It’s the fourth CIF title for Sunny Hills.
