Freeway League champion Sonora, the Freeway League champion, is seeded third in the CIF 2A boys basketball playoffs that begin on Wednesday.
Coach Mike Murphy’s Raiders open the playoffs at home hosting Northwood, the No. 3 team from the Pacific Coast League. Sonora is 24-4 while Northwood is 11-17.
Ribet Academy (22-2) is seeded first, Oxnard (27-1) second and Bonita (25-2) fourth.
Other Orange County teams in the division are Pacifica Christian, El Toro, San Clemente, Crean Lutheran and Los Alamitos.
