“The game vs. Foothill was a battle of two young teams in a great high school basketball environment,” said Tustin Coach Ringo Bossenmeyer. “It was our first time playing in front of a packed and energetic crowd in a big game atmosphere.”
Ben Ahinaquah led Tustin with 16 points and seven rebounds and “his interior defense was impressive,” Bossenmeyer said.
“Jason Naranjo added 14 points and hit a huge three with two minutes left to give us a six-point lead. As a team we finished 14-of-14 from the free throw line.”
Garrett Andre had 10 points and Will Ortmayer and Josh Jalmasco eight points each for Foothill (3-9).
“Our guys fought hard and put everything they had on the floor,” said Foothill Coach Zachary Johnson.
