A look at some of the standout high school football players in Orange County during week six based on OC Sports Zone’s coverage, coaches submissions and reports on X.

Timmy Grettenburg, Portola: The Bulldogs’ junior running back had 16 carries for 53 yards and two rushing touchdowns to lead the Bulldogs to a 27-6 victory over Woodbridge in the Omicron League opener. Coach Peter Abe’s Portola team (1-5, 1-0) meets Katella (1-5, 0-1) Friday night at Glover Stadium.
Maxwell Mapstone, Portola: The junior linebacker had nine tackles, one for a loss and 32-yard interception return for the Bulldogs.
Dylan D’epifanio, Crean Lutheran: The freshman quarterback, substituting for injured QB Caden Jones, completed 19 of 24 passes for 206 yards and three touchdowns for the Saints in a 38-20 victory over Foothill Friday night. It was the Epsilon League opener for both teams.
Taurian Nash, Crean Lutheran: Nash tied a school record with a 94-yard run and wound up with 170 yards on six carries.
Nico Mancini, Foothill: Mancini had 84 yards receiving and a TD in the loss to Crean Lutheran.
Cullen Doyle, Brea Olinda: The Wildcats talented QB completed 15 of 18 passes for 231 yards and three touchdowns in the 49-0 victory over Westminster in the Kappa League opener. His longest pass was 42 yards. Doyle also rushed for 42 yards.
Chris Cortez, Saddleback: Cortez had six tackles, three sacks and three tackles for a loss in the Roadrunners 25-19 victory over Godinez Friday night.
Joseph Torres, Saddleback: Torres had 21 carries for 100 yards in the Roadrunners win, according to Coach Rob Thompson.
Andre Raiford, Saddleback: Raiford had a 91 yard kick-off return for a TD and one touchdown catch in the victory over Godinez.
Noah Tagaloa, Segerstrom: Tagaloa had three rushing touchdowns in the Jaguars 35-27 victory over St. Margaret’s Friday night. Segerstrom (4-2, 1-0) plays Esperanza Thursday night at Yorba Linda in the next Kappa League game.
Jackson Kollock, Laguna Beach: The Breakers quarterback, who has committed to University of Minnesota, passed for 218 yards and a touchdown in a 7-6 victory over Northwood in the Foxtrot League opener.
Luke Jolley, Laguna Beach: Jolley hauled in a 78-yard TD pass from Kollack for the only score of the game against Northwood. He also intercepted a pass playing defense in the third quarter.
Joseph Harper, Northwood: Harper was the force on defense with some big tackles against a high-powered Laguna Beach offense. He kept his team in the game rushing for 96 yards on 15 carries.
Xzavior Guess, El Modena: The Vanguards’ quarterback completed 15 of 18 passes for 224 yards and one TD and also rushed for 108 yards on 12 carries and a TD in a 30-7 Delta League victory over Trabuco Hills.
Deacon Moss, Irvine: Moss had a career high three touchdown catches in the Vaqueros 22-7 victory over Santa Ana Friday night in the Iota League opener. He had seven catches for 105 yards.
Khoa Bui, Irvine: Bui recorded a career high three touchdown passes in the win over Santa Ana. He completed 14 passes for 183 yards.
Carlos Guerrero, Santa Ana: Guerrero scored the Saints touchdown against Irvine on a 14-yard run and carried the ball 18 times for 90 yards.
Noah Nam, Beckman: The Patriots quarterback completed 17 of 22 passes for 229 yards and two touchdowns in a 41-7 victory over Fullerton Friday. Beckman (6-0, 1-0) hosts Sunny Hills Friday night at Tustin in the next Lambda League game.
Makhi Czaykowski, Beckman: The running back had seven carries for 81 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
Noah Czaykowski, Beckman: The wide receiver had six catches for 125 yards and one TD.
Noah Lewis, Pacifica: The Mariners QB had 94 yards passing and two touchdowns and rushed for 42 yards and two touchdowns in a 42-0 victory over University Friday.
Miguel Campos, Pacifica: The Mariners’ running back had 124 yards rushing and one TD in the win.
Travis Frazier, Esperanza: The Aztecs junior QB had 297 yards and four passing touchdowns in the team’s 42-6 victory over Garden Grove. Esperanza (4-2, 1-0) hosts Segerstrom Thursday night at Yorba Linda in the next Kappa League game.
Alex Kiernan, Trabuco Hills: The senior wide receiver had eight catches for 173 yards and a touchdown and also four tackles on defense in a loss to El Modena.
Julius Gillick, El Toro: The Chargers’ running back broke his own school rushing record with six touchdowns and 230 yards rushing in just two quarters in the team’s 42-14 non-league victory over Helix.
Matt Peters, Calvary Chapel: Peters rushed for 115 yards on six carries to help lead the Eagles to a 49-6 victory over Santa Ana Valley in the Sigma League opener at Segerstrom. Peters wound up with three touchdowns including a 40-yard pick six in the second quarter.
Tank Brittton, Bolsa Grande: The Matadors quarterback completed 21 of 26 passes for 275 yards and three touchdowns in a 48-26 victory over La Quinta Friday night. His longest pass was a 67-yard TD pass. Bolsa Grande (3-3, 1-0) hosts Loara Thursday night.
Marc Navarro, Bolsa Grande: Navarro had eight catches for 155 yards and a touchdown in the win.
