The Gary Raya So Cal Elite Boys Basketball Tournament, featuring 10 teams, begins in Orange County Monday night, Dec. 9 at El Dorado and continues on Tuesday through Saturday.
Tesoro is the defending champion.
The 10 teams are grouped into three pools.
Pool A will include Portola, Esperanza and Laguna Beach. Pool B will consist of Colony, El Dorado and Woodbridge. Pool C will have San Clemente, Yorba Linda, Northwood and Tesoro.
Opening round games on Monday Dec. 9: At El Dorado: Portola vs. Esperanza, 5:30 p.m.; Colony vs. El Dorado, 7 p.m.
Tuesday, Dec. 10: At Portola: San Clemente vs. Tesoro, 5:30 p.m.;
Northwood vs. Yorba Linda, 7 p.m. At Woodbridge: Esperanza vs. Laguna Beach, 5:30 p.m.; El Dorado vs. Woodbridge, 7 p.m.
Wednesday, Dec. 11: At Northwood: Yorba Linda vs. San Clemente, 5:30 p.m.; Tesoro vs. Northwood, 7 p.m. At Portola: Woodbridge vs. Colony, 5:30 p.m. and Laguna Beach vs. Portola, 7 p.m.
Friday, Dec. 13: At Northwood: Tesoro vs. Yorba Linda, 5:30 p.m.; San Clemente vs. Northwood, 7 p.m.; At El Dorado: 4 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. (games TBA).
The tournament wraps up on Saturday, Dec. 14 with five games starting at noon at Portola. The championship game will be at 6:15 p.m.
Tesoro defeated Corona del Mar 59-52 to win the championship game last year.
