Northwood’s Nick Demaio picks up yards Friday night.
Northwood’s football team, coming off a bye week was impressive Friday night, defeating Santa Ana Valley 41-10 at Irvine Stadium.
The Timberwolves (2-1) were led by junior quarterback Jaden Piazza, who was making his first varsity start. He had three touchdown passes, all in the first half.

Sophomore wide receiver Travis Arena had two touchdown catches and sophomore wide receiver Trey Littlejohn had one touchdown catch, making a special diving toe-tapping catch for his first varsity touchdown.
Senior wide receiver Seth Locke had a touchdown run.
The Timberwolves defense was also stellar. Senior linebacker Aron Milgrom had two interceptions and caught a 2-yard TD catch.
Senior quarterback Tanner Buck threw one touchdown pass in trelief to Milgrom.
Senior Luke Demaio had a 40-yard interception return for a touchdown.
Santa Ana Valley Valley fell to 2-2.
