The Gatorade program allows the players to give back to the sports programs in their communities, according to David Hahn, Josh Hahn’s father.

“Gatorade will donate $1,000 in Joshua’s name to HVLL. Joshua played T-ball to Majors,” said David Hahn, who was also a coach in the league.

Josh Hahn’s sister also played two years for HVLL and he had two cousins who also played with the league.

Hahn, who has signed with UCLA, batted .376 with nine home runs, 14 doubles and 33 RBI for the Oilers this past season. On the mound, he had a 5-1 record with three saves, a 0.68 ERA and 53 strikeouts in 41 innings.

Hahn was the 2017 Sunset League rookie of the year, the 2018 and 2019 Sunset League MVP and the Huntington Beach High School male athlete of the year. Hahn was named first team all-county by the Orange County Register and also selected for the All-CIF Division 1 team.

This summer, Hahn will playing in Yakima, Wash. in the West Coast League for the Yakima Pippins.
