Canyon’s baseball team pushed across a run in the bottom of the seventh inning to defeat Crean Lutheran 2-1 Thursday afternoon in a Freeway League game at Canyon.

Logan Adams had a single with no outs in the seventh to win it for the Comanches, who took two of three games from Crean Lutheran. Crean Lutheran won the second game of the series on Tuesday 11-3, at Crean Lutheran.
Canyon (10-9, 4-2) had two hits and used a balk to produce the run in the seventh.
Kemuel Zhang had an outstanding game on the mound for Canyon, scattering six hits and striking out five to get the complete game victory. He did not walk a batter.
“He was able to locate all of his pitches for strikes today,” said Canyon Coach Jason Smith.
Crean Lutheran’s Brady McKay tied the game in the sixth inning with an RBI single to drive in Griffin Theetge, according to Saints Coach Jake Haney.
Crean Lutheran’s pitchers were starter Blake Armstrong, who allowed one run, struck out five and walked five in 3 1/13 innings. Theetge came on to finish the game, allowing three hits, a run and striking out two.
Crean Lutheran (7-13, 1-5) outhit Canyon 6-3.
