Cypress High School’s girls basketball team defeated La Habra 74-26 in a North Hills League game Tuesday night at Cypress.
Sophomore forward Hayley Walker led the Centurions with 21 points. Her teammates, Jazmine Pham and Leah Shigekawa, each added 10 points for Cypress (10-12, 2-0).
The Centurions trailed 10-9 in the first half but went on 20-1 run to take a 29-11 at halftime. Cypress continued a pressure defense throughout the second half and cruised to the win.
Senior center Ashley Miller led La Habra (9-11, 0-2) with 13 points.
