After several unsuccessful scoring chances, University broke a scoreless tie with seven minutes to play in a 1-0 win at home over Irvine Tuesday afternoon in a Pacific Coast League boys soccer match.
Senior Rayan Heyati put the ball in the back of the net off a pass from senior forward Kasra Ghoddousi. Junior Javyn Figueroa had the clean sheet in goal for the Trojans.
University improved its record to 4-1 (2-1 in the Pacific Coast League) while Irvine fell to 1-4, (0-3 in league).
