Saddleback High School senior Diego Enriquez threw a no-hitter leading Saddleback High School’s baseball team to a 17-0 non-league victory over Morningside Friday at Saddleback, according to assistant athletic director Nick Diuliu.
Enriquez (2-1) struck out 14, threw 75 pitches and hit one batter in seven innings, said Saddleback Coach Joe Najera.
On the season, the Roadrunner pitcher has a 0,60 ERA in 23 innings and also has a save.
Anthony Lopez led the 18-hit attack offense for Saddleback (3-3-1), going 4 for 4 with two doubles and three runs scored. Enriquez helped his own cause with four RBI and three hits, Najera added.
“Andy Aguilar had a monster bases clearing double that drove in three,” Najera said.
