MIRA COSTA 61, CREAN LUTHERAN 48: Crean Lutheran led after three quarters but was unable to hold on in the game at Mira Costa. Crean Lutheran (18-13) was led by Hunter Caplan, who scored 15 points. Jordan Ceballos had 12 points, Will Malual 10 points and Caden Jones nine points.
LOS ALAMITOS 84, CATHEDRAL CATHOLIC 72: Los Alamitos, the CIF Division 1 champion, was led by Tyler Lopez, who scored 17 points. Trent Minter had 16 points, Samori Guyness 15 points, Wes Trevino 11 points and Kedric Delany 10 points. The No. 6-seeded Griffins (26-8) play at No. 3 Redondo Union in the second round Thursday.
JSERRA 80, SAN MARCOS 56: The No. 4-seeded Lions (23-10) were led by BJ Davis-Ray, who had 26 points and Dominic Bolton, who had 24 points. Brannon Martinsen added 16 points for JSerra, which hosts No. 5 Carlsbad Thursday night.
TORREY PINES 66, SANTA MARGARITA 59: Kaiden Bailey had 16 points and four 3-pointers to lead the No. 2-seeded Eagles at home. He also had six assists. Drew Anderson had 15 points, six rebounds and three blocked shots, Brayden Kyman had 15 points and three 3-pointers and Dallas Washington eight points.

FRANCIS PARKER 63, IRVINE 62: Irvine led most of the game until Francis Parker hit a late 3-pointer to take the lead in the game in San Diego. Cooper Stearns scored 25 points, Holden Stearns 11 points, Jalen Yim 10 points and Jackson Schaffer eight points to lead the Vaqueros (29-4).

DIVISION III
BIRMINGHAM 56, SAGE HILL 48: No. 15 Birmingham upset No. 2 Sage Hill Tuesday night at Sage Hill, surviving a furious Sage Hill second half comeback. Birmingham utilized a three quarter court press and forced 11 first half turnovers, many resulting in buckets to lead 30-16 at halftime.
Sage Hill was playing without 6-10 senior center Jackson Cryst who is pivoting to volleyball (U-21 national team and Long Beach State for college). Sage Hill did not turn the ball over in the third quarter and pulled to within 39-31 on eight points (two 3-pointers) from junior guard Carson Ellis.
Sage Hill cut the margin to a single point with just over four minutes to play. Senior point guard James Karahalios hit three 3-pointers and 12 points in the period, but Sage Hill could not take the lead despite shooting 39 percent from 3-pointers. Birmingham made 10 of 11 free throws, including nine straight in the fourth quarter while Sage Hill only made a third of their charity stripe attempts (three for nine).
Senior point guard Mandell Anthony led Birmingham (16-12) with 26 points, including eight free throws. Sophomore wing Christian Graham chipped in with 10 points and two 3-pointers.
Sage Hill finished the season with a 19-11 record. Karahalios was top scorer with 21 points adding half a dozen rebounds. Ellis added 10 points and five rebounds. Sophomore guard Tre Cradle was held to seven points, but also had nine rebounds, nine assists, two blocks and two steals.
