A look at Orange County high school football standouts for week seven

Orange County high school football standouts for week seven, based on OC Sports Zone’s coverage of games, submissions from coaches and posts on X:

Brandon Figueroa, Irvine: The Vaquero running back set a school record with six touchdowns (36 points) in a 57-24 Iota League victory over Canyon. He had four rushing touchdowns and touchdown kickoff returns of 92 and 98 yards, officially rushing for 335 yards on 18 carries. Figueroa had 525 all-purpose yards.

Alexander Lundsberg, Canyon: The Comanches quarterback threw for 321 yards and three touchdowns in the loss to Irvine.

Jake Brooks, Brea Olinda: Brooks had a career high four sacks in a 34-0 Kappa League victory over St. Margaret’s.

Cullen Doyle, Brea Olinda: Doyle passed for 282 yards and a career high five touchdowns in the win.

 Archer C’de Baca, Crean Lutheran: On homecoming, C’De Baca scored two touchdowns to lead the Saints to a 35-6 Epsilon League victory over El Dorado.

Timmy Grettenberg, Portola: Grettenberg had 68 yards on 10 carries and two rushing touchdowns to lead the Bulldogs past Katella 42-3 in an Omicron League game.

Josh Wang, Portola: Wang had three carries for 70 yards with one rushing TD and one 11-yard TD reception in the win.

Adam Nofal, Portola: Nofal led the Bulldogs defense with five total tackles, three for a loss and one sack.

Noah Tagaloa, Segerstrom: Tagaloa, the son of Coach Joseph Tagaloa, had a game best 142 rushing yards, three rushing touchdowns, one reception for a 13-yard touchdown and a 95-yard pick six in the Jaguars 49-29 Kappa League victory over Esperanza.

Jesse Lopez, Segertstrom: Lopez had 228 yards passing and a touchdown in the win.

Travis Frazier, Esperanza: The Aztecs quarterback threw for 258 yards and two touchdowns in the loss to Segerstrom.

Xzavior Guess, El Modena: The Vanguards quarterback completed 20 of 29 passes for 241 yards and four touchdown passes and also rushed for 80 yards on 13 carries and two touchdowns in a 56-27 Delta League victory over Western.

Connor Smith, El Modena: Smith had nine catches for 127 yards and one TD in the league victory.

Makhi Czaykowski, Beckman: Cyazykowski had 10 carries for 90 yards and two touchdowns in the Patriots 28-0 Lambda League victory over Sunny Hills.

Noah Nam, Beckman: Beckman’s junior quarterback completed 15 of 20 passes for two touchdowns in the win.

Noah Czaykowski, Beckman: Czaykowski had seven catches for 77 yards and one touchdown and blocked a punt that set up a TD.

Note: Beckman Coach Marcello Giuliano said the Patriots defense recorded the team’s third shutout of the season with four sacks, four tackles for a loss and the blocked punt.

Beckman (7-2, 2-0) hosts Kennedy (5-2, 2-0) Thursday night at Tustin.

Fabian Bravo, Saddleback: The junior running back rushed for a career-high 239 yards and a career-high three touchdowns in a 34-13 Zeta League victory over Savanna Friday night.

Lynnden Hodge, Buena Park: Hodge had 16 rushes for 180 yards, hauled in a TD catch and scored a TD in the Coyotes 15-7 Omnicron League victory over University.

Derek Carrillo, Noe Najera and Jose Jimenez, Century: All three players stood out in the Centurions 31-0 Zeta League victory over Magnolia, according to Coach Lance Neal.
