Saucedo (Yorba Linda High School) had 30 carries for a season high 111 yards and two touchdowns.

With veterans Malchi Pierce (Edison) and Owen Smith (El Modena) sidelined with injuries, the Dons needed other players to step up.

Freshman wideout Keyshawn Johnson (Calvary Chapel) was one of them. He caught a team high four passes with 57 yards while picking up some critical first downs. Fellow freshman tight end Nathan Meek had three catches for 41 yards.

Quarterback Nate Bento (El Dorado) had a solid performance, passing for 124 yards while rushing for 54 yards.

Although the offense did its job when it mattered, the Dons defense made the win possible.

In addition, sophomore defensive lineman Oscar Serrano had a team high seven tackles for the Dons.
