Woodbridge High School’s boys water polo team is off to a 7-0 start after defeating Agoura 12-11 Thursday afternoon at home.
“We are off to a great start,” said Warrior Coach Alex Farraro. “We played Agoura last night, coming back from a five-goal deficit at halftime to win the game.”
Woodbridge also defeated Cypress 16-8 on Tuesday.
“We returned a strong starting line-up from last season with my three captains Ben Chan (goalie), Robin Koehler (attacker) and Caden Bolton (center) leading our team,” Farraro said. “We have a slew of talented seniors, juniors and sophomores rounding out our squad loaded with attackers.”
Woodbridge will compete in the La Habra Invite this weekend with a match against Bonita on the schedule. The Warriors will also host Crean Lutheran Thursday at 4 p.m.
Woodbridge reached the CIF Division 4 finals last year, losing to top-seeded Bonita 16-5.
