Head coach Josh Keithly, who led Northwood High School’s baseball team to the Pacific Coast League title in his first season with the program last season, has resigned, he confirmed Monday.
“It was a fun first year, but I got another offer to go somewhere that was just a better opportunity,” Keithly said.
Keithly did not indicate where he will coach next.
Northwood was 17-3-1 in the PCL and finished the season 20-6-1 overall, losing to South 3-1 in the opening round of the CIF Division 3 playoffs.
No replacement has been made.
“We received word of Josh Keithly’s resignation and are beginning our search for our new head coach,” said co-athletic director Sierra Wang.
