Five Orange County Pony Bronco baseball 12-and-under teams will compete in a double-elimination sectional tournament beginning Friday evening at Harvard Park in Irvine.
Teams from Placentia, Santa Ana, Irvine, Los Alamitos and St. Hedwig will be in the tournament.
In opening games on Friday, Placentia meets Santa Ana at 5 p.m. on field two and Irvine faces Los Alamitos at 7 p.m. on field two.
On Saturday, St. Hedwig faces the winner of the Irvine-Los Alamitos game at 8 a.m. There are other games scheduled for 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m.
The tournament wraps up on Sunday with the championship game at 10 a.m. If necessary, a second game would be held after that. The top two finishers advance to the regional tournament in Placentia beginning Wednesday, July 3.
Harvard Park is located at 14701 Harvard Ave., Irvine.
