Crean Lutheran High School’s baseball team, top-seeded team in Division 4, rolled to a 24-3 victory over Pasadena Poly Friday afternoon in the CIF playoff opener in Pasadena.
The Saints (21-8) move on to the second round to host Los Altos (9-16 overall) Tuesday at 3:15 p.m.
Crean Lutheran had grand slams by Mark Fedro and Harrison Stiles in the seventh inning to cap the win, according to Coach Jake Haney.

Crean Lutheran scored five runs in both the first and second innings to take control. Jackson Haney had a two-run single in the first inning and Jack O’Malley blasted a three-run home run in the second inning.
The Saints ace Alex Iida threw four innings, allowing three hits and one run and striking out nine.
Fedro was 3 for 4 with five RBI to lead the offense, Coach Haney added.
