Northwood (Division 4) is the only team from Orange County earning a No. 1 ranking in this week’s CIF baseball polls released on Monday.
Coach Doug Euper’s Timberwolves are battling Woodbridge for the Pacific Coast League title.
A number of other OC teams earned high rankings. Santa Margarita is second, Villa Park third, Cypress sixth, JSerra eighth and Los Alamitos ninth in Division 1.
In Division 2, Mater Dei is third. Valencia is third and San Clemente fifth in Division 3, La Habra is second, Crean Lutheran third and Canyon sixth in Division 4, Estancia is third, Century fourth, Savanna seventh and Calvary Chapel eighth in Division 5, Costa Mesa is second, Garden Grove fourth and Westminster fifth in Division 6.
Ocean View and Woodbridge received votes for Division 2.
