LA HABRA 61, CERRITOS 37: The Highlanders notched a non-league home win Thursday night. Grayson Sinek had 19 points, five rebounds and five steals, Jaedon Anderson had 12 points and Acen Jimenez had 12 points, five rebounds and three steals to lead La Habra (9-3).
CYPRESS 57, LOS ALTOS 41: The Centurions played a well-rounded game Thursday afternoon at the Crypto.Com Arena in Los Angeles. Mickey Kadowaki had 11 points, Ryan Gov 10 points and Jonah Kim eight points to lead Cypress (5-6).
The Centurions were able to bounce back from Wednesday night’s 77-58 loss to No. 2 Canyon. Kason White had 16 points and Jonas Hanson and Kadowaki had 10 points each.
“Canyon led by five at half and then the wheels fell off for us,” said Cypress Coach Derek Mitchell. “Our rotations were slow and they got hot in the third. Nate (Harrison) is one of the best around, and his team reflects that. They are good.”
Canyon (11-1) was led by Brandon Benjamin and Johnathan Carey, who had 16 points each.
EL DORADO 64, GARDEN GROVE 39: The Golden Hawks recorded a non-league win Thursday night. Cooper Bladow had 17 points and eight assists, Nathan Meek 10 points, Ethan Chi and Nate Natividad eight points each and Erik Eng six points and five rebounds for El Dorado.
IRVINE 87, AMBASSADOR 33: Irvine (8-6) was led by Cooper Stearns with 25 points and Daniel Shin with 10 points.
