Segerstrom’s softball team opened the CIF Division 2 playoffs Thursday with an 8-1 victory over Bishop Amat at Segerstrom.
Brianna Aguilera, who pitched the first four innings, got the victory. Aguilera, Michelle Delgado, who pitched two innings and Rebeca Cabezas, who finished the game, did not allow an earned run in the game.

Gizzele Altamirano hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the third inning to give Segerstrom (22-1-1) a 3-1 lead.
Cabezas had two hits and two RBI and Jaden Fraser had two hits with an RBI double off the fence for Segerstrom.
The Jaguars play South Hills (24-3) in the second round Tuesday at South Hills.
