It was quite an opening weekend for the CIF boys basketball playoffs.
University pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the playoffs, defeating No. 2 seeded San Marino on the road in the CIF 4AA playoffs, Orange Coast League representative Santa Ana defeated Mountain View, El Dorado upset league champion Portola and Cypress notched a road victory over Mayfair with a late comeback.
