Woodbridge High School senior Ryan DeLand made a verbal commitment this week to play water polo at Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill. he confirmed to OC Sports Zone.
DeLand plays the utility position for the Warriors.
“Ryan has been a committed water polo player since the day he entered the pool,” said Woodbridge Coach Alex Ferraro. “He is constantly attacking the cage, working post ups and transformed into an incredible threat offensively.
“Ryan was our top scorer this season and he leaves behind a legacy of intensity, spirit and team dedication. Ryan was an all-league selection last season, top scorer this year and earned most exclusions this season for our team. We are Warrior proud of Ryan committing to Augustana College to continue his education and water polo next fall.”
