The Alan Dugard Softball Classic continues with second round games on Monday, March 24 at Bill Barber Park. The tournament wraps up on Saturday, March 29
On the opening day of play, Woodbridge won two games to advance into the Gold Bracket Monday with a pitching gem by senior pitcher Mia Tamkoc in the Warriors 2-0 victory over Santa Margarita. It was Woodbridge softball’s first no-hitter since 2003, according to Warrior Coach Jerry Rose.
Woodbridge (4-4-1) also defeated Newport Harbor 7-1. The Warriors face Palos Verdes Monday at 3 p.m.
