Woodbridge junior Riley Pittman, who led the Warriors to their first Pacific Coast League water polo title, has been named MVP of the league.
The Warriors were seeded first in the CIF Division 2 playoffs, but dropped their first-round match-up to Riverside Poly 10-8, in overtime. Coach Matt Campbell’s Woodbridge team finished with a 23-5 record.
Six Warriors received either first or second team honors.
Northwood, which finished second in the league and advanced to the quarterfinal round of the CIF Division 3 playoffs, was also well represented with five players honored on either the first or second teams.
The Timberwolves, coached by Kyle Kim-E, were seeded second in the division and were 23-8 overall.
