VILLA PARK 4, LOS ALAMITOS 2: Jake Nobles (3-0) earned the victory, allowing no runs in five innings and striking out eight. Justin Tims was 1 for 2 with two runs scored, an RBI and a home run. Aidan Young was 1 for 2 with a double and two RBI and Isaac Barrales had an RBI for the Spartans (7-3).
SUNNY HILLS 9, YORBA LINDA 2: The Lancers (6-3-1) were led by Brayden Chen, who allowed three hits and struck out four in four innings and Zayyir Miramontes, who allowed one hit and struck out three in three innings. Andre Katayama was 3 for 5 and Tyler Simkins 3 for 4 with a double.
FOOTHILL 6, BREA OLINDA 0: The Knights won their sixth game in a row. Tyler Hawkins pitched five innings allowing a hit and striking out six. Garrett Davidson was 3 for 4 with a double, home run, two runs scored and four RBI, Jack Mueller was 2 for 3 with a double, run scored and a stolen base, Ezekiel Vargas had two walks, scored two runs and had a stolen base and Noah Macatino was 1 for 3 with an RBI.
WOODBRIDGE 3, NORTHWOOD 2: Woodbridge (4-2, 1-2) salvaged the final game of a three game Pacific Coast League series with a victory in a make-up game Monday at Ryan Lemmon Stadium. Sophomore Alex Johnson notched his first career victory, pitching five innings, allowing seven hits and a run and striking out two.
Nolan Stottlemyer led the offense, going 2 for 3 with a triple and a run scored. Jake Haruki was 1 for 3 with two RBI and drove in the tying and go-ahead runs with a bases loaded single, according to Woodbridge Coach Ryan Brucker.
Northwood (3-2, 2-1) won the first two games of the series 9-0 and 3-2.
