Uni’s SangHyuk Im will be attending and playing tennis at MIT after signing a national letter of intent, according to Trojans Coach John Kessler.
“SangHyuk is the epitome of what it means to be a student athlete,” Kessler said. “SangHyuk is an exceptional student and one of the leading high school mathematicians in the nation. He has also been the captain for the Uni boys tennis team for the last two years leading the Trojans to two straight CIF Open team championships.
“SangHyuk is also the two-time defending CIF doubles champion having won the last two titles with two different partners.”
Kessler said Im has demonstrated outstanding qualities on the court.
“While being intensely competitive on the court, SangHyuk is also a model of sportsmanship and everything good about high school sports,” the coach said.
