University High School’s girls basketball team trailed most of the game, but held host Northwood without a field goal in the fourth quarter to win on the road 44-41 in a Pacific Coast League game Tuesday night.
This was the third meeting of the two teams this season, but first time in league.
University (6-14, 1-1) had a big performance from senior center Julia Holmes, who had 14 points and 16 rebounds (six offensive). Junior forward Rae Li contributed seven points off the bench.
Northwood (4-17, 0-2) had two players in double figures: junior guard Mya Glezman with 13 points (two 3-pointers) and senior guard Audrey Xu with 10 points.
