Quarterback Koa Saito fired six touchdown passes, three to Blaine Anderson to lead University’s football team over Loara 42-7 in a non-league game Friday night spoiling Loara’s homecoming night at historic Glover Stadium.
Saito exited the game after three quarters going 16 for 24 for 334 yards in the air while adding another 21 on the ground for 355 yards of total offense.
Anderson had nine receptions for 107 yards while fellow wideout Jonathan Soto had three catches for 114 yards, including a 65-yard score. Luke Edwards and Eithar Takesh also caught touchdown passes for Uni (2-2).
Richard Bines led the Trojan defense with three tackles for a loss.
Loara (0-3) was able to muster 14 first downs and scored on an 80-yard drive to open the second half culminating in a one-yard run by Alex Mejia.
