Orange County Women’s Lacrosse Officials organization is looking for new members to help officiate the growing game.
The group is looking for athletic adults, 18 years of age and older living in Orange, Riverside or San Bernardino counties who are no longer in high school and would like to become certified lacrosse officials.
Junior official candidates (ages 16-18) may attend.
Lacrosse experience or sports officiating experience is preferred but not required.
Training clinics will involve classroom training; field training and an online rules test. Completion of the program will result in a U.S. Lacrosse girls lacrosse official certification and an opportunity to officiate future high school and youth games.
The clinic cost is $60 for adults and $30 for junior officials, payable by check or cash at the class.
INLAND EMPIRE CLINIC: Murrieta Mesa High School, room M313 (near the sand volleyball court), Saturday, Aug. 17, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Classroom and on-field instruction).
ORANGE COUNTY CLINIC: Aliso Niguel High School, Aliso Viejo. Classroom training will be held over two nights, Tuesday, Sept. 17 from 6 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, Sept. 19, from 6 to 9 p.m.
Field training will be held on Sunday, Sept. 29 at RSM Intermediate, Rancho Santa Margarita. Time to be announced.
