Tarbut V’ Torah baseball player Max Toporek signed his national letter of intent to play baseball at University of San Francisco Wednesday in front of friends, family and teachers.
“Max has worked extremely hard to put himself into this position, and today is just a culmination of all of the blood, sweat and tears that he’s given to the game of baseball,” said former baseball coach Jeff Towning, now the athletic director at TVT. “We know Max will be an amazing representative of TVT and USF and we can’t wait to see all of the amazing things he will accomplish in college.
Taporek, a 5-8, 170-pound outfielder, has been a tecam captain for the past two years. Last season he was TVT’s defensive player of the year and a first team all-league selection.
