TRABUCO HILLS 9, ALISO NIGUEL 0: The Mustangs Mason Molina pitched a shutout to help the team clinch the Sea View League title. Trabuco Hills is 19-8 overall and 8-3 in league play.
OCEAN VIEW 5, WESTMINSTER 4: The Seahawks, who already clinched the Golden West League title, were led by Thomas Williams, who was 3 for 4 with two RBI and two runs scored.
Williams came into the game 11 for 11 in his last two at bats (which Cal-Hi Sports reported is an Orange County record) but he was retired in his first at bat. The publication named Williams Southern California high school baseball player of the week and ran WIlliams’ picture taken by OC Sports Zone last week.
Ethan Eisen was the winning pitcher for Ocean View (20-6, 9-0).
VILLA PARK 1, CANYON 0 (10 innings): The Spartans (21-5, 4-1) were led by Isaac Ontiveros who pitched eight innings, allowing one hit and striking out 12. Aaron Perez got the victory with two scoreless innings. He struck out five. Benny Vogel led the offensive attack, going 2 for 4.
SEGERSTROM 15, GARDEN GROVE 0: The Jaguars (12-13, 5-4) helped their playoff chances with a Golden West League victory at Garden Grove. Bruno Banuelos threw five scoreless innings striking out six to earn the victory. Zander Bretza had his fourth home run of the season. The teams play again Thursday in the league finale at Segerstrom.
CYPRESS 10, VALENCIA 0: The Centurions (16-10, 7-2) wrapped up their eighth consecutive Empire League title.
SERVITE 1, SANTA MARGARITA 0: Ki Negrete threw a complete game, three-hit shutout for the Friars. Roman Martin drove in the run for Servite (12-14, 5-9).
