Crean Lutheran (Division 2A), Foothill (3AA),. Orange (5A) and Calvary Chapel Santa Ana (5AA) are seeded first in their divisions in the CIF boys basketball playoffs that begin this week, CIF officials said in a release on Sunday.
There are 252 teams in the playoffs, including top seeds Sierra Canyon, Heritage Christian, Colony, Crean Lutheran, Foothill, Calvary Chapel, Shalhevet, Poly of Pasadena, Linfield Christian, and Orange competing for championships in 10 divisional playoffs starting with wild card contests on Tuesday, May 25, according to the release from the CIF.
Officials added that open division pool play starts with opening games on Saturday, May 29 wrapping up with championship final contests with the open division boys and girls on Friday, June 11 and in divisions 1-5A on June 9-10 all at designated host sites.
