Tesoro High basketball star Kaden Garrett announced this week he has commited to play college basketball at Point Loma Nazarene University, according to his father, Titans coach Steve Garrett.
“Kaden was attracted to Point Loma because it’s a Christian University that has an outstanding basketball program and graphic design program,” Coach Garrett said.
“The combination of those three areas makes Point Loma a very special place. He’s really excited to have the opportunity to play for the coaching staff at Point Loma. Overall, it’s a great opportunity to grow and develop on and off the court.”
The 6-6 Garrett was the co-MVP of the Sea View League with teammate Matt DeAngelo and helped the Titans win the league championship. Garrett, who had a 4.1 GPA, was also selected to the Orange County all-star basketball game.
