OC Sports Zone: Community First

We are here for our communities

Our statement:

During this unprecedented time for our communities, our state and our country, OC Sports Zone will continue to be here to provide coverage on a regular basis.

We are grateful to our advertising partners for their continued support and to you, our readers.

In light of the coronavirus pandemic, we plan to continue to publish stories on a regular basis from our communities…. and that includes sports stories and news stories.

We want to assure you that our OC Sports Zone staff remains healthy and we are following all recommended guidelines to remain healthy. We’re working from home, we’re not going out on interviews, we’re washing our hands often and we’re trying to look after our loved ones. We hope you will do the same during this unprecedented time as we all try to cope with this challenge.

This pandemic needs to be taken very, very seriously. We hope and pray that one day this will pass and we can all once again enjoy life as it used to be, and that includes a return to sports, such a big part of our lives.

In the meantime, there are lots of stories we can share. We have some we will be sharing today, including one about DJ Rodman, a former Orange County high school basketball standout who is doing well in college.

PLEASE EMAIL TIM BURT: TIMBURT@OCSPORTSZONE.COM WITH STORY IDEAS AND PICTURES FROM OUR COMMUNITIES

We believe there are many other updates we can do, but we need your help by providing these story leads.. These stories can be done through phone interviews and E-Mail. We can do this fairly easily. We would love to share your photos too.

We would like to know how athletes in our communities are coping without sports during this very uncertain time …. or musicians, band members, community leaders.

We want to know how parents are coping during this crisis and how are students being looked after during a break from regular school attendance. We know this is a tremendous challenge and adjustment for many.

Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to hearing from you.
